After the debacle last year with Travis Scott and last night, they have to deliver tonight or the ratings will dip further. Tonight feels like a big night for Trips. Another dud and the fans are going to start turning away.

I'm on the "Last night was fine. Classic IWC overreaction. Comparing it to last year's Travis Scott disaster is nuts" side of the argument.

WWE will keep rolling along just fine for the forseeable future.

I do think interest in next year's Mania will take a big hit with it being in Saudi Arabia.

I think TKO needs to make it mandatory if a WM happens on the West Coast it has to be in some sort of Dome without fricking natural light coming through the top. It just takes away the spectacle of the lighting and shite.

I just keep thinking about WM30 and 34 in the dome and how everything just looked SIGNIFICANTLY better the whole night even if the Main Events were kinda arse.

The WM 30 main event is now considered arse by the IWC?

They’ve got a problem. Last night being “fine” doesn’t cut it. The main event and story telling made zero sense, and Trips will just tell everyone “it’ll make sense, trust me.”

It was Mania and it felt like any other regular PLE.

Considering DB did nothing with the title, it was a great moment in time, but moving forward it did nothing to move the company.

I will admit the commercials are terrible but it's better than paying $50-60 (in 90s-2000s money) to watch the show.

That was 20 years ago but I agree. Instead we’ve gone from $10-15 five years ago with limited commercials and actual backstage segments to whatever that was last night.

The combination of TKO and ESPN is a massive part of what’s hurting the business and it shows no signs of improving.

Remember back in Vince's days, even with the 15 matches on the card, they still made time for a good amount of skits. Not it is just stupid fricking ads. We can't even get a match promo anymore. Nope it's a cricket commercial

WWE Youtube Channel was live last night showing just match promo's

Something that stood out:

WM17 Austin Rock Promo's was insane compared to today's not only from graphics but from pure presentation. Its like WWE has lost their magic.

100%, the PLEs have taken a hard nose dive since they went to ESPN. And it's still weird seeing WWE stuff on the ESPN shows. Stephen A. looked disgusted (even more so than usual) on First Take the other day.

The business isn't hurting at all. You can say the quality is bad and the weekly shows are boring but the arenas are still mostly full of people paying over $1000 to take the family. PPVs are still selling $10,000+ tickets and ratings are consistent. The traditional wrestling audience still watches on tv and the normies that are willing to take on massive debt to be part of a viral moment are buying tickets.

TKO has out priced the normal fan. They were slashing ticket prices by 50% in the last month because the tickets weren’t selling for Mania like they normally do.

If tonight is a swing and a miss, that’ll be back to back WMs that have been disappointing. The people who are part of the weekly threads on here - they may not mind but the common fans aren’t going to come back if they keep under delivering. Really the product has been stale across the board since Cody finished his story. Story lines are all over the place and seem thrown together.

Very much so. I’m a fan of well over 40 years, going back to the Mid-South territory, and I have no interest in watching tonight after last night’s efforts.

I don’t have a damn clue what they were trying to accomplish with this match. That was just a mess.

I actually loved 95% of it

McAfee’s addition looked like a miss direction for the slow heel turn and they immediately wrote him off. Perfect

But Pat coming back and Randy killing Cody literally made it all a waste of time

Should Reigns win tonight I expect HHH to open Raw and welcome us to (yet another) new era.

I’ll likely be too hungover on WWE to watch Raw on Monday. These two-night PLEs are a real chore to sit through.

The biggest miss was not having Cody go full heal at the end. It was laid out perfectly for it and everything else would’ve worked
