Ari Emanuel is a talent agent. McAfee is a client of his and Ari is trying to push him as a movie star. Travis Scott is supposedly a friend of his and I'm guessing they have some sort of working relationship too.

I’ve been saying they should do this for over a year. But they have to really go with it and have the TKO production have tons of “viral moments” and push the social media shite, celebrity appearances etc.
They have to make TKO cool to a chunk of the audience just like the nwo was. Many fans will love the WWE older school side but some SHOULD think it’s not as cool as TKO. They’re idiots but that’s how you ultimately make it blow up.

You aren't wrong about the unsactioned thing but it's been over 20 years since they made any sense. The last one I remember making ANY sense was Shawn vs Hunter in 2002 with the premise being that WWE doctors couldn't clear HBK bc of his back injury
