I agree 100% man. These idiots don't understand that with communism, the government controls the means of production, picks winners and losers through redistribution of wealth, and ignores individual rights for the greater good. Democratic Socialism is completely different in that the people vote for the government picking winners and losers through the means of production and redistribution of wealth, as well as ignoring individual rights for the greater good.

Completely different you fricking stupid trumpkins.

There isnt a black and white line between capitalism, socialism, and communism except during a government overthrow.

Instead it starts with a policy here and there, and keeps transitioning over time.

Most (intelligent) people realize this and therefore fight back against these policies that lead the US down this path.

Assumption was made by that poster, not this one. It doesn't matter if the military acts uniformly or not. The technological gap between any part of the military or government agency or police force is so vast, that regular citizens would barely stand a chance initially. The casualties would be massive.

Address you being gleeful about drones striking citizens? I think that speaks for itself.

Brilliant rebuttal. Did you come up with that on your own?

Did the US not roll over the 1st 2?

That is what would happen though. Citizens would be force into guerilla warfare. And they would then be called terrorists by their own government.

Somewhere between China or Venezuela or the failed Soviet State or Cuba

Because those communists don’t see it as failed communism. I’ve seen them arguing Cuba is supposedly doing pretty well. They’ll blame Venezuela’s failures on the US.

They say USSR’s failures were because of everything (including saying Stalin was somehow right wing) but communism or they’ll just flat out deny things like the genocides and the brutalities of the gulags.

They’ll say China and even Vietnam are doing good ignoring China is because they made their economy less communist.

If they do admit it’s failed, they’ll just blame capitalism for it. They blame capitalism for everything, including any bad things governments like US and EU do.

The standing military. But that's not what we're discussing here.

A bunch of dudes living in caves and the jungle brought the US military machine to a stand still, with a fraction of the population armed.

The US population is much, much larger than all three of those countries combined, and much more heavily armed.

Which is why your argument of "the US military would just snuff out the citizen population in three seconds" is stupid.

Hell, and I'm spotting you the premise the entire military would turn against the citizenry. Which it won't.

And the numbers gap is so much in favor of citizens it is laughable.

The entire military is what, 1-2% of the number of private gun owners?

Who is protecting the politicians and the military people’s children while the armed forces are laying waste? Numerous police forces also wouldn’t comply.

How well does the military function when their supply lines are being blown up?

And we haven’t even talked about foreign armies that would decide to take advantage.

It would be a massacre for both sides.

And that’s also assuming most of the military would go along with it which is doubtful

If by that you mean all three of those countries had much smaller populations than the US with much less citizen-owned weaponry, then sure I guess?

What’s your good analogy for the US military turning on the US citizenry?

Yeah, but it's going to take a lot of losses and time for that to come into play. The ability of the government to strike at range would be brutal initially. Sure, they'll lose in the end. Thankfully.

I was just making the point initially in agreement with the other poster that the average "muh 2nd amendment" poster on here will be dead before they can even fire a shot. And again, before the usual suspects here can't comprehend a point, I'M PRO 2ND AMENDMENT.
