Can someone explain to me why $239 for a mixer is a good deal?
Is this a serious question?
It's all in how much you use it and what you use it for. That's a lifetime mixer.
Like any quality item, tool, car, high quality does not come cheap.

Yes, it is a serious question. Not that I am pricing these, perhaps there are cheap $30 ones at Walmart that may last a year or two. I don't know. All I know it just seems like I see these mixers advertised for hundreds of dollars, when I can get a toaster or hand held beater for $15.

Hand held mixers can't handle heavy dough or large batter or even doubling a batch of cookie dough
The KitchenAid mixers' attachments work and are solid made with metal parts: Even their ice cream maker is fun, but the meat grinder, the citrus juicer and the pasta maker (not just the dough, but the set up where the dough runs through rollers to the desired thickness), all these things feed off the gear box that's behind the chrome circle above the mixing paddles.
Sometimes there are really good buys at the kitchenaid store, often times they come with really wierd colored enamel exteriors.

Think about it this way, if you plan to use a drill for real work over decades do you buy a $15 one from Walmart or do you spend more money for a Hilti, Festool, Makita etc?

Most of the deals, especially the good ones, are limited in number and size. If it is indeed a good deal it won't last long.
I get it but their website gave a countdown to when the deal ends. The packages are back up now but without the dot. Also says they won’t be in stock til the end of July. They should put “while supplies last” if they are gonna be this way.

Neither can a Kitchen Aid. Cheap gearing means they really struggle with any high hydration stuff.

Anyone know if the cheap projectors are decent for a dark room? I’m not expecting movie quality or anything just something to watch games in the one room my girlfriend lets me have control over. There’s not a lot of natural light.

wouldn't a darker room be better?

Definitely, I was just explaining the room I planned on using it in.

Starting with last year's Black Friday I learned to work the system. I placed 35+ orders today. They join about 5 leftover from BF. I probably will only see 10 of them ever ship with the others either decided against or found cheaper later on. Only 2 or 3 of those 10 will be before months end. It's basically fee free/no money down layaway. All you need is a couple of expended Visa gift cards and a few minutes ed very other day to reset their 3 day cancellation window.
The most expensive thing put on Amazon layaway is the $60 Sirius home radio. My wife wants it so she can listen to Howard in her office.

Frick those anti-gun pricks. We own one cooler made by them and it has the Gander brand name. I've used the beer holder and wife's coffee mug as targets for our AR.

I'm calling bullshite. Mine is 27ish years old and handles everything just fine. My mother's is probably 45 years old and she still uses it every week with no complaints.

This is one of the strangest on-going melts. Yeti still supports a dozen or so hunting foundations/charities and while it is likely untrue the best the facts support is they dropped NRA support, the same NRA that tons of 2A advocates now see in a different light after the bump stock fiasco et al and have dropped support for them in favor of the 2A Foundation, GOA, NAGR, and the Constitutional Rights Pac.
Yeti is doing OK, their stock has doubled in less than a year since their IPO. That said their products are high quality but are equalled by many of the copy cats.
