That’s because the women that show up here are not treated very well, like Paige for example.

I don't go to WM often, but I don't remember anything being locked up in the one in Flowood, MS.

Walgreens has said that locking up items definitely cuts into sales. Pick your poison; theft or reduced sales. Walgreens CEO on locked cases

I've never bought an item in a locked case. I will get it somewhere else or do without. I'm not standing around waiting for that shite.

AI on the topic:

Locked cases can significantly lower sales by creating customer frustration, inconvenience, and a negative shopping experience that deters purchases and impulse buys, leading to potential sales drops of 15-25% or more, even while reducing theft. Customers often choose to abandon purchases, shop online, or go to competitor stores when faced with the hassle of waiting for an employee to unlock merchandise, ultimately sacrificing convenience for a less friction-filled buying process

You think walmart is losing money because .0001% of their store is behind a locked case? lmao.

I will not buy it. I’m not waiting for an associate to open the soap.

Local Walmart Grocery locks up all of their liquor, so if I'm ever in need, I know I need to go to Albertsons or Rouses. I'm sure I'm not the only person who's not going to look all over the store for a key holder over a bottle of whiskey. I'd think the lost revenue far outweighs the loss to theft.

It hurts sales big time. It is a fight with loss prevention, 99% of loss prevention suck arse and don't understand how retail works.

Usually the high theft items have huge mark ups to compensate for theft loss. If you aren't getting those regular sales it hurts.

was at a Walgreens in Omaha and they had 40% of their inventory locked up. The person working told me they are going to be about 60% when finished. Even the deodorant was behind Lock and key. Wtf.

As prices go up and wages remain stagnant we will develop a black market for simple things. If deodorant is. $7-$8 and a friend finds a container of old spice deodorant it becomes quite lucrative.

Anything behind a case I immediately skip and get somewhere else, likely amazon. I do't have time for that garbage.

There is. Its called prosecuting and jailing every one of the low lifes and the lawyers that defend their BS. I'd rather stores spend money on security since they raise their prices to account for theft, anyway.

It wasn't because they were getting robbed blind. WM closest to me had 10-12 cashiers working last time I visited.

These people are broken. She truly believed she should just be able to walk. It's tiresome living amongst them.
