You'll get downvoted but it's true. I remember the "hot" summers reaching around 98. It was rare to see 100 degree actual temperatures.

This is what get when you bitch about 40 degrees in January and say you can't wait for summer.

How about this easy summary….
It’s been hotter than normal the past month in S La. If you don’t agree with that you are a nimrod.
Also, we don’t need three threads a day telling us it’s hot.

We certainly had days like this in my lifetime, but we never had a run of days hitting 100 like we have had recently. This is different, and anyone saying they have experienced this before (in this area) is full of shite.

We've had highs in the 100s for ten straight weeks now. This hasn't happened at all in recent memory period.

It’s been hitter here in BR, but never this hot for this long in recent history.

In their small minds I guess admitting it’s unusually hot somehow will equate them with the global warming movement or something

We had regular afternoon rain.
We haven’t had that this summer.

Check the heat wave in the 1930's in Louisiana. You won't hear the MSM discuss it because it doesnt fit their narrative, but my grandparents didnt have AC back then and they sure discussed it....Highest ever temp in LA during that period....114.

It's not a religion. The earth used to be covered in a lot more ice, so yes the climate changes.

This heat I just feels different,
This heat has broken a lot of records so you're correct.

Damn straight!..... 1980 is the hottest yr on record. This year might beat it due the high pressure system over most of the state contributing to the lack of rain and cloud cover.... Just sayin

Every summer is different. The high pressure ridge has been more persistent this year across much of the south than it often is, but what we’ve seen is not unheard of heat.

I actually love this heat since it is dry. Fckk the humidity.

I’ve followed the weather since about the 6th grade (1991/92). On average it doesn’t get hotter than 98/97 F in the summer up until the end of august. In September you begin to see reduced highs sometimes. So it hasn’t been this hot at this time of the year to my recollection, but 5 degrees is not that noticeable in the grand scheme of things. Not having rain is the icing on the turd cake.
