At some point in march, people are going to be asking if the rain will ever end.

Unpossible.

And no one will complain when the temp dips below 30 for the first time.

Front Day on [off]

I’m seeing a high of 82 and this is north of the lake where it’s usually cooler. However, on Sunday it’s a high of 76 and low of 50.

Front Day May just be getting pushed a day later here.

The chocolate is great, it’s a Christmas tradition! For Front Day we will probably be celebrating with friends as well.. thank you for the invitation.

Where do you buy the Max Brenner hot chocolate?

Friend,

We all want to thank you again for being the first to nail down a possible Front Day this Saturday. You were several days ahead of local meteorologists. Mother is going to make a decision Friday on whether we will celebrate this Saturday. She is quite the meteorologist in her own right, and thinks we might touch the 50s Saturday night! I am getting so excited!!

Yours,
TulaneLSU

P.S. We bought Max Brenner hot chocolate online at MaxBrenner.com. Use code Max10 at checkout to get 10% off. If you order today you can get expensive shipping to have it by Saturday.

Does the Front Day low in the 50s have to occur on Saturday morning (Friday night) or Sunday morning (Saturday night)?

Friend,

It is supposed to occur at some point on Saturday between midnight and 11:59:59 PM. I have been trying to soften Mother’s heart to let us celebrate this weekend, arguing for the historical precedent set by Great, Great Grandmother, who celebrated the first Front Day on a Wednesday in 1911.

Yours,
TulaneLSU

Doesn't look like you're going to get Front Day on Saturday morning this weekend then. It's still going to be warm as the front comes through right around sunrise. A glorious gift form God to start the day.

Sunday morning has a shot to be in the 50s.

Friend,

Please tell them that tomorrow will not be Front Day. As is her custom, Mother makes a final decision the day before each potential Front Day. She uses her immense meteorological knowledge, and to this day, in 25 years of predicting Front Days, she has only been wrong once, in 2003. This week, thanks to friends of the OT, I attempted to soften her concrete stance on Front Day's parameters. However, she remained rigid, or you could say, true to the definition, unconvinced by the emotions of the OT and me.

I am so sorry to break this news to the board, but tomorrow, October 7, will not be Front Day for the year of our Lord 2023. Please adjust your plans accordingly.

On a positive note, Mother says there is an 85% chance right now of Front Day being next Saturday, October 14. This would be wonderful, as next Saturday will also have celebrations at the Deutsches Haus for Octoberfest, where we love to chicken dance, and the Blues Festival downtown where our ancestors once paraded.

Yours,
TulaneLSU
