It amazes me how stupid news channels can be

Local Houston news just covered how the jail system is attempting to fight Kung Flu. They said one of the measures they are taking is by reducing the number of arrest made. They said they currently aren’t arresting people for most nonviolent crimes like theft for example. All I could think to myself was way to fricking go with your news report. All you did was just advertise to criminals that you won’t be arrested for nonviolent crimes.

They Sheriff didn’t have to agree to allow his Deputies to release that information, but if he didn’t he couldn’t get political credit for doing the ethical thing.

And that is just another reason guns & ammo are selling so well right now. Think we can expect to see the crime rate rise as this event continues. Desperate people do desperate things. Different day & age; during the depression, people just stood patiently in line for a day to get a loaf of bread, without a 9mm.

Same thing out here. Citations only. And releasing prisoners with less than 30 days left on their sentences.
