Uh no, we need to continue to value American lives abroad, because we are Americans.
Being American is not really a nationality any longer, at least not in the classic or traditional sense.

We're filled with hate for one another and a collective self loathing. The world sees this. We're a weak country, filled with weak people who simply don't care about each other any longer. Ergo, the world doesn't care.
The only Americans we value here or abroad are the ones who are like minded. The rest can go frick themselves. That's how we live now.

Al Jazzar (sp) is an excellent news organization, everyone in the business knows this.
I wish you were wrong about America and being an American but you are not. When we fall the rest follows and then “they” likely get involved. Hopefully I will be dead before that actually happens. For those of you that are not I will pray for you in this life and on the other side.

No, I would value all Americans left or right if kidnapped or killed by violent extremists, sorry to break your narrative.
The 10 to 20% on either extreme of the batshit political spectrum does not add up to the majority, nor should we embrace it if it did. Your post is a massive projection of all kinds of issues which exisit, but the fact that it makes you not value American life is on you.

Some would condemn Israel, some wouldn't, but I don't think anything of substance would really be done to them UNLESS it the apocalypse and China attacked them or something insane. Point is I don't think any of the powers of significance are willing to actually do anything over Iran especially when they are so clearly being jackasses
It shockingly might turn out to be a net positive for the world as I would think it renew efforts to reduce nuclear weapons and possibly change foreign policies to where nations like Iran aren't allowed to become what they have become

I wish I were projecting. I'm not though. This country hates itself and the value of another American is measured almost solely in his political and cultural views and that's the way it is.

Both political sides hate this country for polar opposite reasons. Which means we all hate this country.

The idea that the US has always been a monolith is silly, there have been deep divisions throughout its entire history. The difference is now the extremes you mentioned have outsized voices due in large part to the internet. 5 or 50 or 500 people on X say something outrageous and someone posts it here and attributes that POV to everyone left or right of them on the spectrum. It is just manufactured outrage and the vast majority of people I interact with personally on a regular basis see it for what it is. The ones that don't just enjoy doom casting because they want or need division.

I may have missed it, but I haven't seen anyone on either side question the political ideologies of the murdered and kidnapped Americans. It happens in many different situations, but as far as I can tell, everyone is upset that there are American victims over there.
