Hamas isn’t thinking with anything other than raw hate. Iran is more calculated.

Iran is disliked more than Israel by leadership of many sunni countries. Israel and Saudi Arabia negotiating formal ties was going to isolate iran even more especially if others followed. On Oct 3rd the Supreme leader of Iran even issued a warning that these countries negotiating ties with Israel were backing the wrong horse.

Any leader or ruling family of a sunni country tired of fighting Israel has to go against their own rhetoric and teachings that go so far back it’s basically encoded in their rank & file. Iran has now helped create a situation that puts that to the test as Israel responds and attacks a sunni population.

Wonder what Israel will do to retaliate against Iran? This shite is going to get crazy before all is said and done.

I’m beginning to think Iran isn’t that calculating.

Their decision tree seems to be “does this piss off/kill Americans or Jews, if Y, then do”

Those videos at the music festival

Can someone please post some kind of clearinghouse for all these videos that people keep talking about but don't show up in google searches? Another guy here posted the same question and got DV'd and ridiculed. But it's a legitimate question. Please post these videos or a link to some site that is hosting them so we can see them if we choose.

Probably not far from that. They know they can't win, but they aren't going just sit around and do nothing.

Militia mentality or sorts, small attacks that do damage. Figure out the big picture later. But never become compliant.

Terrorism at its best.

If the UAE wants to prevent a broader regional conflict then it should stop being a safe haven for the leaders of Hamas and Hezbollah.

I think Israel will deal with Gaza before it takes on Iran, but I fully expect them to hit Iran hard.

They will deal with the immediate threat first.

People don't want to get banned for posting graphic images of elderly people with their brains blown out.

Go to twitter and search for any related term (sderot, Hamas, etc...)

This twitter query on sderot will give you some of them https://twitter.com/search?q=%23sderot&src=typed_query

I know these are radicals but I don't get what Hamas and Iran is thinking with this escalated attack. Sure they scored a hit in their eyes but then opening themselves up to a world of hurt. And for what? Hamas I suppose I get it cause they are always involved in the tit-for-tat conflict there. But Iran, if true they were being directly involved, I get that less. Maybe I'm just being naive.

Proxie wars have lots of benefits to the shadow parties involved, not limited to bleeding and occupying enemy governments, rallying international support for and against, funneling money, etc. Ukraine being the most recent example.

Over 700 Poland and Romanian special forces have landed in Tel Aviv. Their mission is to rescue their citizens who have been kidnapped and are being held in Gaza. Pretty big escalation.

Iran is going to end up on the Find out end from a lot of nations.

When a major event like this happens, countries who might normally try to apply diplomatic brakes to the situation will simply turn the other cheek as Iran gets pounded.

Iran isn't getting any cover on this one.

They’re smart enough to make the Palestinians do all the dirty work and die on the Iranians behalf.

Then search on Telegram or Reddit. You won't find this stuff linked on Google yet (if ever).

Looks like they are going to escort their citizens out of the country. I seriously doubt the IDF will let anyone else play in their backyard.

Israel doesn’t handle hostages the way we do.

To some extent you are correct, but the formula changes a little bit if there are a sizable number of American, German, and other European citizens from that music festival.

Israel will likely not compromise any military goal, operation or objective over any domestic or international hostages. If they can incidentally or in the process of some other operation extract some of them, they will but in all likelihood anything related to hostages will be a secondary or tertiary mission.

Besides. These weakling Governments, including the United States will backdoor pay any ransom asked of them and that's really what these foreign hostages are probably about. Money.

We need to stop overvaluing Americans abroad. This isn't last century. Globally, we're just not that important anymore and the rest of world really isn't all that moved by the word American.
