The political leadership is so engulfed in trying to not offend anyone that we get what we are seeing. The messaging shifts drastically from day to day, with no firm stance on anything. One day they're going to round up and deport terrorist sympathizers, the next they're arresting people protreting those types.

It was also pointed out that many cops were not wearing the Remembrance poppies today

The UK is one of the worst offenders when it comes to anti-free speech stances.
Seven years ago, there were already thousands of Brits who faced police action for “speech crimes”.
That has increased substantially since then.

Thanks to many of the progressives, like sugar71, Pandy Fackler, and others, we aren’t terribly far behind them.
What we are seeing in the UK is the endgame of hate crime/speech laws.
