Hamas came in to power in 2007…people have been protesting for palestine since 1948
There was no official state of Palestine until 1988. Hamas was officially founded in 1987, so Hamas actually predates Palestine.
Also, Hamas came into power with the 2006 elections over the entire PA in both Gaza and the West Bank. 2007 is when hamas threw the PA out of gaza with type of civil war, hamas Prime Minister was removed from PA by the Fatah President which effectively split gaza into a separate entity.
All in all 1948 is a good year to show how palestinians created their own mess and protests/wars were about eliminating Israel with peace only after a palestine from the river to the sea.

I mean, was anyone in WWII holding rallies saying “Free Germany!” because not all Germans supported the war? Sure there were a mix, but once your country is in war it’s all in.

Who were these nazi sympathizers? You mean people that felt sorry for the German civilians who had nothing to do with hitler coming to power getting killed? You have no compassion for all those innocent german families that got massacred in the Nuremberg bombings…got it. Well, I do because I’m a sane and reasonable human being with morals.

You're either terribly informed, willfully ignorant, or just being disingenuous for shits and giggles.
Central to all these protester's message is a ceasefire. They, and some in leadership along with the UN (which still doesn't even recognize Hamas as a terrorist organization) demand it. Israel not agreeing to an immediate ceasefire is a non-starter for them.
So, yes......people are 100% saying that Israel shouldn't "go after" Hamas.
Try again, "mate".
