I think the king is beyond pissed he was asked to take in Palestinians given their history there.

There are no good choices here. But unless someone can tell me what is the exit ramp from a gaza invasion, I hope they don’t do it.
Yours is a valid point/question, and I'm sure it is one being discussed by the Israelis and Allies at length.

Or, he's concerned about the mob and optics. shite went sideways across the board earlier today.

If it's the new facility and they get inside those buildings being constructed it will be a disaster and probably force a relocation.
BUT, the Lebanese gov't doesn't want this and will likely go to extreme measures here. And Hisbollah doesn't want to go to war with the Leb gov't (again) with Israel being scrappy to their S so I doubt they interfere other than rile them up... but assisting the rioters to "defeat" the Lebanese gov't is probably a bridge too far with the current military situation.

And Hamas, apparently, has their press conference at the hospital. Quite the scene. I haven't seen video of it, yet, but there is a rough pic at the link.

I wonder if they will back channel some of the evidence they have?
The IDF also showed drone footage showing no direct impact on the hospital and they say the damage in the parking lot wouldn’t have been caused by any weapon they have.
ETA - it took that statement to mean that if it was an Israeli weapon, the damage would have been much greater. They also said they don’t use the iron dome system when rockets are still in Gaza so it wouldn’t have been from that.
They said they would release the audio from PIJ saying they did it in the coming hour.

I'm legit curious what actually happened at the hospital. I could see either side blowing it up then trying to pin it on the other side
I wouldn't even blame Isreal If they did it, Hamas is going to shield their assets with as many civilians as possible and that's the kind of attack is going to take if they will ever be truly dislodged but I am curious as to what the real story is

Not a drop of blood on any "doctor" or their uniforms...yet the ground should be soaked in blood from all the corpses in the frame.
Did they not try and save anyone?

Large fire burning at US embassy compound in Beirut per report on twitter
ETA that it is at the compound not necessarily the embassy itself. And this was from Jennifer griffin from Fox News.

This is where the vast majority of Americans are at. We are rooting on Israel to eliminate Hamas and its supporters, optics be damned.

In my way of thinking it makes absolutely no sense for Israel to intentionally blow it up right now, and that has been proven out by the backlash that has played out ever sense. It is a legitimate catalyst for Hezbollah to throw a whole lot more at them and fully open that front. Israel can't desire that right now.
Now, could they have hit it accidentally, and are now blaming Hamas? I guess. However, just a few hours prior to this they made a precision strike within the confines of a refugee camp to kill a head Hamas guy without killing a bunch of innocent people.
This just doesn't fit, IMO.

but the physics and explosiveness don't work for that.
A) the Iron Dome tracks through apogee and then intercepts on decent (improves intercept % by doing this)
B) no way an Iron Dome interceptor has that much explosive power.
C) max range is about 65 km. So no way to know where it was launched from, but they damn sure don't put those close to the border for local security reasons and (see "A") they want to be downrange after apogee so they have to be a ground linear distance away to be in position.

Yeah, Israel is scrambling to get their people out of Turkey now. What a cluster this has been.
