I would much rather be going up against untrained units without command & control in a MOUT scenario.
100% agree,,,,would not want to fight a well funded and trained professional military in their own urban backyard after they had a year or two to dig in and stockpile,,,

I keep hearing a engine running on the live feed is that a drone?

Yes, it is a drone. I don't know if they are using it for targeting or just surveillance, but it's always on patrol.

I will be honest, if that thing flies all the time over that area, and I was stuck there, I would probably consider at least kicking an Israeli puppy. I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be driven to rape, murder, and pillage innocent civilians, but I'd probably steal the tennis balls off of an old Israeli man's walker or maybe some other petty, mostly innocuous terroristic action.

This type of thinking is what caught us off guard in Vietnam, Ramadi, Fallujah etc,,,they are dug in, defensive positions in urbanized terrain,,,probably well stocked with RPGs, rockets and IEDs. It’s gunna be a bloody mess before it’s all over with. IDF will prevail though.

Yeah, it's a little different in Gaza though. You're dealing with a finite number of combatants in a relatively small area, and they are perfectly blockaded.

Theoretically, you can just poke around, drop bombs when you hit resistance, and count bodies.

They would be smart to kick all media out though.

Here's a funny one:

@Marien__R (works for Amnesty)
quote:

IDF denies using white phosphorus, but we at @amnesty verified images of Israeli forces on October 9 near Sderot with artillery shells labelled D528 - the US Department of Defense Identification Code for white phosphorus-based rounds.

From Sderot, northern Gaza is within range.

Xwitter

People who actually know shite quickly shut this nonsense down.

Nevermind the fact that the video spread widely and cited as white phosphorus being used by Israel was quickly proven bullshite.

Pics and video at the link.

ETA: A scroll through her Xwitter feed shows nothing but proven propaganda or things that have been proven outright fake. She retracts nothing.

Somewhere between interested and don’t want to see it happen, for our own interests, in how this would go at home for France with the massive Muslim population and migrants if they did intervene actively.

Then 67% of Palestinians deserve a violent death.

I was always under the impression that every kibbutz had a rotational watch system over their place. Someone always in a watchtower ready to ring the bell.

I wonder what had become the norm behavior when sirens go off for rocket attacks. Did they (watchers) start going to hunker down in a safe room and had gotten used to it being only rockets when still fairly dark like it was initially.

Also, Some of the safe rooms in villages were not built to withstand much of sustained breach into village much less one that was hours long & by so many attackers. Either in practice or by design many of the safe rooms in villages seemed focused on type of rockets usually fired and at most to hold off 1 or 2 attackers that get inside until a much quicker response happens from villagers or outside force. In some pics several years before showing Israelis waiting out attacks the doors didn’t always seem fully shut or secured (or needed maintenance to be secured). Some had windows and also were pretty obvious including their ventilation shafts when added outside original house later. Some of those safe rooms became death traps.

This was a new tactic that I am sure Israel will adjust to.

There seemed to be some with more gear, then larger mob mostly armed with smaller guns & mostly wearing regular clothes, and then you had the sandals and girl bikes brigade.

It was important to hear the mayor of NYC take that position for Jews. Especially given the following as reported by the ADL:

quote:

The cities in which these protests took place included New York City, Washington, D.C., Chicago, Philadelphia, San Francisco and Anaheim. Perhaps the one that received the most attention on social media was the New York City rally, as video showed protesters chanting “from the river to the sea Palestine will be free” and “resistance is justified when people are occupied.” A video showed one of the speakers at the New York City rally saying, “our resistance stormed illegal settlements and paraglided across colonial borders” and that “the resistance fired more than 5,000 rockets,” both of which resulted in cheers and applause from the protesters. Another speaker at the New York City protest said, “The media will tell you that yesterday, ‘terrorists’ invaded Israel. But we know that actually what happened is that the oppressed people of Palestine broke out of the open-air prison.” After they were met by applause, the speakercontinued, “The White House is telling all its mouthpieces to tell us a false story. But we know that the real terrorist is the Israeli state that has been murdering, massacring, separating, displacing, torturing, imprisoning the Palestinian people for over 75 years.”

There is a great scene in season 1 of arrested development where the attorney and George Bluth (the defendant) both run out of the courtroom when they hear all the charges read at once in sequence for the first time. They knew the charges beforehand, but hearing them all at once was too much.

That is kind of what I’m feeling right now. I knew before this week the world is filled with people who truly do the hate the Jews. This week is like hearing all of those people announce themselves all at once.

There's a non-zero chance that some of these neo-nazis are already in contact with hamas and helping their operatives get a foothold in our country, but the FBI is too busy hunting down Jan 6 scapegoats.

Fixed that, wouldn’t want somebody jumping in and reminding all that Gaza Pali’s are different from the WB Pali’s.

I would say that 7 out 10 Pali’s in Gaza are fair game.
