Another one bites the dust.
Who’s next?

I get what you're saying, but that's not how that works. No military is going to start something like a ground operation against an enemy who is entrenched (however small Gaza may be) without having all their ducks in a row.
As others have said, this has the potential to turn into a shitshow for the IDF having to fight through such a dense urban environment. It takes time and planning. The Israelis are content to keep Hamas' heads down with the airstrikes while they make sure everything is ready. Then, they will probably double check everything is ready, then go.

Yep.
And with it being a dense urban environment, being able to siege Hamas is a legit tactic. They WILL run out of supplies sooner or later, no matter how many tunnels they have. Davos Seaworth ain’t showing up with a ship full of onions to save 2 million people.

But their idea of a porportional response
Judaism doesn’t have an equivalent of Christianities just war concept and proportionality, it’s generally understood that wars of annihilation are no longer permitted but the concept never developed beyond that. With the destruction of the Jewish state, there was no need to consider such issues.

Putting rules on War is just a silly concept to me.
Rule number 1. Win
Rule number 2. See rule number 1
Rule number 1. Win
Rule number 2. See rule number 1

So, 2 million dead people is OK?
Posted on 10/12/23 at 3:02 pm to Bunk Moreland
So, 1200+ dead people deserves no response?
Posted on 10/12/23 at 3:06 pm to Bunk Moreland
Death is never “ok”. But if someone attacks you and brings you into war the only truly important rule is “win”.

Just recognizing the political need for urgency.

Palestinians are the people no one likes in the ME. For good reason in a number of cases such as Egypt and Jordan.

Yes, I read Al Jazeera regularly. They have about the most balanced news about Ukraine you will find, and so far, their coverage of the Gaza-Israeli war has not resorted to sensationalism.

Damn.
Pretty brutal way to say "you wanted it, now you're gonna get it".

Other Arab countries have no use for the Palestinians and don't really care if they were wiped out. They'd probably prefer it so they could use it as propaganda against Israel. Lives aren't valued there like they are here.

You can tell a few of those buildings being hit had stores of munitions in them. Keep pounding them IDF!!!!

Does Hamas deserve better as of now?
Given the shite they did and showed to the families of the victims, death by suffocation is actually pretty tame.

Took a play out of Harry Lee’s playbook. Block the bridge - 2005.
