One ballistic misse is 750kg to 1500kg of payload.
A normal JDAM is 2000lb (907 kg). So 2 JDAM is greater the one ballistic missile and the F-35 can carry two internal. More external.
So we are seeing a few ballistic missiles getting through while Israel has air superiority and dropping multiple bombs per sortie.

This could be due to limited munition availability and Iranian air defense combating some Israeli drones and missiles unlike the opening salvo.
The intent seems to have been a stunning strike that forced Iran to capitulate but that doesn’t seem to be happening currently. The Israelis know their only shot at finishing the job is to get the U.S. involved. This has likely been the plan from the start and I don’t see how Iran withstands that amount of pressure without external support.
Regime change has always been the goal, nukes is the same excuse Bibi has used since 1992 to try and force the U.S. hand. If we fall into this trap we will be criticizing it the same way we have Vietnam, Libya, Afghanistan and most importantly Iraq.
This mentality will destroy US hegemony quicker than any adversary ever could."
