Is Zaxby's in trouble? All Oklahoma City locations abruptly closed.

There were only 4, but apparently, they were all closed earlier this week with no prior notice. There are 2 in Tulsa. Not sure of their status.
There are a ton of other fast food chicken places operating around here, so no great loss.

All the ones in South Louisiana closed a few months ago AFAIK, but the ones in Monroe and Mississippi are still open.
This implies it is a franchisee issue.

I think it's pretty good. Best ever? Nah, but pretty good. There are some straight inedible food chains. You want Long John Silvers over Zaxbys?
The one near our house is always packed. It's also really clean and they hire polite high school kids to work there like the old days of fast food. Good experience.

Slim chickens is in trouble
There’s one by my house that literally never has anybody in line, and I drive past it every single day
It’s been there for over a year and it blows my mind how it is still even open
There is a raising Cane‘s less than a mile away that has a line wrapped around the building 24/7

Ours in Zachary closed 3-4 months ago. They can't compete with Cane's.

Often times, when you see all in one town, it's a franchisee issue.
The franchise ownership group probably failed. And corporate probably didn't take it over because they did research and found that the reputation was too poor to continue operations.
