I'm about a mile from the French Settlement Amite crossing, it's getting high but not dangerously high yet

I live five feet above the street, which is 1 foot above therest of the area. House is built on a large mound and I'm high and dry.
Streets all around me aren't in as good a position right now though. I was almost swimming twice on my way home a few minutes ago.

The parts that don't drain well are. Had a rain about 6 months back, and the water was a foot deep flowing around my house
Drove from one side of Metairie to the other, and there wasn't any flooding, just a little water on roads here and there

Not even close off highway 22 outside of Toula. There were a lot of homes that got completely flooded out for Issac.
