I saw where the house passed the budget including fully funding TOPS next year. What are the chances the Senate passes it and the Governor signs off?

Health and hospitals hasn't wheeled in the sick kids yet. I wouldn't get too confident.

$18,000 in taxes last year. Trying to recoup a bit of my investment.

My daughter is starting in the Fall . She picked out her dorm and her roommate and her classes over a month ago when they did Spring Orientation for the Honors kids .Yes or no, it would be nice to know one way or the other what it will cost .

Gotta decide if you are dropping your kid off at college or at the recruiting station.

If the House has its way it'll be fully funded. If the Gov has his way it'll be drastically cut. I would expect some cuts to the program.

Yep, there will be someone with a rare case of double dog anal fistulas who cant get free treatment because of the evil republicans not wanting to raise taxes again.

Yep

It's like the kids on the PT crying about healthcare when they're healthy. Why pay for the health and PECs of others?

Hey, kid, why should others help pay for your school when your Pops failed at saving for your future?

I thought F. King Alexander was nestled deep inside the Governor's colon for the specific purpose of securing full funding for TOPS. He couldn't be that much of a bitch-boy and still not have enough swag to get TOPS fully-funded could he?

It's intended to be an investment to keep top HS grads in state. It became watered down and needs to be overhauled to achieve the purpose for which it was constructed. As an investment in the future of the state it's a quality one and if ran right could be a driving factor towards driving La's economy in the future. It's La though so it will be watered down or dangled like a carrot to middle class families when a new amendment or tax increase is wanted by the state.

They should cut TOPS. It would enrage the people enough to realize we need to amend the state constitution and start pushing for it.
