You don't have to have graduated from somewhere to be considered an alum.

ETA: Didn't know you didn't have to graduate to be an alumnus, so technically Addison would be an alumnus

Tik Tok is banned in India since the Chinese sourced technology is used to spy on users. The UK and the US will likely ban it soon as well.

A “TikTok” superstar had better find another platform.

Well, if the Chinese are looking to gather "intelligence" on the US, using TikTok to do so is an abject failure.

I think her mom might be the LSU fan or from Louisiana because she wears a lot of LSU stuff.

You have to actually graduate and receive your degree in order to be an Alum

No you dont.

The attended part is dependent on whether they have eventually graduated, I'm sure.

Wild guess this young lady has not graduated.

By definition, yes.

Dictionary.com

quote:

a graduate or former student of a specific school, college, or university.

And I think Shaq, Odell Beckham, Alex Bregman, Lauren Daigle, and James Carville all have to be above this Tik Tok personality.

Bill Conti and Don Lemon as well most likely.

IOW, if you attend one college, yet graduate from another, calling yourself an alumnus of either is probably accepted in some fashion.

Should you never graduate from anywhere after your studies at a particular school, I don't see where you can apply "alum", period.

According to the definition of the term, yes.

According to the definition of the term, you're wrong.

The whole family is on TikTok. Even the dad. They literally sold their entire souls to make it in Hollywood and it’s absolutely repulsive.

Well, if that's the case, I've misused the term and will continue to misuse it indefinitely.

Have never heard anyone make an "alum" reference to anyone who has not graduated.

How do you know that? I’m gonna guess she has no less talent than 90% of this board that also went to LSU for some generic degree.

Would staying at LSU and finishing her business degree or whatever somehow make her more talented and valuable to society than moving to LA and making millions at 19?
