Anyone who hangs on Reddit would never suspect this place was a bot farm. There’d be a lot more threads on every board if it was bots.

It has evolved.. Like anything else, but this place used to be a free for all. Posters going at one another. IRL drama that either started on the board or made its way to the board. There was always something going on. But between regulars getting older or just stopped posting and times changing it is just different. it would be cool if there were a group of younger people who joined and actively posted just to keep things fresh.. But now.. You know how there are shows that are popular then it eventually goes off air and it comes back in a different setting or something. This is a bad example, because i did like the college years, but like Saved by the Bell. Thats the board right now.. Everyone grown up, people moved away, etc

I was just saying that people used to more modern social media (Insta, Tiktok, FB, etc.) are not as attracted to older message board style social media.
But yeah, other homegrown college sports message boards are equally as outdated.

All shite on the internet is less fun than it was 20 or more years ago. TD isn’t immune but I will say that they have held strong and it still has its charm that it always has had.

Yes. I still browse regularly but it’s different. Less homemade memes due to AI. Less crazy college kids, less hilarity. Less female posters when they were already far less of them. The general attitude is becoming too political, and leaning way far right.
It’s hard for a site structured like this to grow if it’s one crowd of people who are not going to share on other social media the shite they post here.
Now every now and then, there is a good thread I’ll follow till it dies. And I’m here for any hurricane headed my way.
