Driving in to work this morning down 75 in Dallas. On the OTHER SIDE of the highway there's flashing lights, and we go from going 75 to 35 mph for a little while. It's so damn dumb. There is a divider in between the two sides of the highway. Whatever is going on on the other side has precisely 0 effect on the side I am driving on.

Just another example that most people are retards.

Left lane campers are worse than rubber-neckers IMO. Both should be tortured.

the idiot sitting at the light fricking with his/her phone when the light turns green , doesn't notice , light turns yellow, hauls arse through the light leaving everyone behind him/her stuck for another light cycle.

No, being stopped on the basin bridge for hours when an 18 wheeler is flipped is more frustrating.

For me, it's people not paying attention while waiting in the turning lane.

Arrow turns green and we sit there for 8-9 seconds while the dipshit finishes posting to snapchat. Arrow turns yellow before they actualy put foot on gas pedal and thus allowing only 2 cars to turn left instead of 10.

There's a term for that and I can't think of it right now, but on the PGBT this morning this fricking Silverado did 70 in the left lane causing roughly 10 cars to go around him over the course of 2 miles.

I frickING HATE YOU frickERS WHO DO THIS!

Try this: I made the mistake if driving through Little Five Points in Atlanta at 5:30 yesterday evening. Parking lot traffic due to shitty traffic light system. Finally going to make it through the main intersection, and a fine citizen stops in the middle of the road just before the light to let someone out. As if that weren't bad enough. They chatted after the passenger got out of the car. This was horn-worthy.

There are few things that don't annoy me while I'm driving in traffic

For me it is the people who see that the lane they are in is closed ahead, and instead of getting in the other lane at their first opportunity, they wait till the very end and force their way over causing others to slam on their brakes.

Even worse are the people who go to that lane to try and jump 8 cars ahead and do the same thing.

We have an epidemic of this now.

Didn't civil engineers prove this was the most efficient way to deal with lane closures?

Not bad at all in the mornings when I go to work. I try to show up 7:30-7:45 to avoid traffic. I avoid like the plague in the afternoon though.

I really think that you could just stand on the side of the road waving at people and it would cause a traffic jam. Traffic seems to come down to the lowest common denominator and it only takes 1 or 2 idiots to completely screw things up.

Yes, we did. When traffic is at slow crawl, zipper merging is 15% more efficient. If traffic is flowing, early merging is better. Some states have signs that indicate which method to use based on the speed of traffic. The idiots who think they know everything still ignore them and early merge when they should zipper merge.
