Popeye's in Hawaii and Connecticut is surprising, as is Cane's in Missouri.

The most popular "fast food" in half the country is something at least two people here have never heard of?

MOD (which I have never heard of, nor SEEN) is the winner in Georgia? No. That’s CFA. Geez.

And there's no way the home of CFA has some unheard of chain as their favorite.

MOD is a pizza joint. They smash out your crust on the spot and you pick from a ton of sauces, toppings and cheeses and in about 5 minutes you have your pizza. Like a Chipotle for pizza I guess you could say.

They only have 7 locations in GA. Makes sense.

I live in Illinois and have family in Ohio, and I don't think I've ever heard of MOD much less ever seen one.

Exactly. So how are they owning CFA’s back yard?

They aren’t.

RANK COMPANY CATEGORY 2018 US SYSTEMWIDE SALES MILLIONS
1 MCDONALD'S BURGER 38,524.05
2 STARBUCKS* SNACK 19,700.00
3 SUBWAY* SANDWICH 10,410.34
4 TACO BELL GLOBAL 10,300.00
5 CHICK-FIL-A* CHICKEN 10,000.00
6 WENDY'S BURGER 9,993.70
7 BURGER KING* BURGER 9,950.00
8 DUNKIN' SNACK 8,787.00
9 DOMINO'S* PIZZA 6,600.00
10 PANERA BREAD* SANDWICH 5,734.63

The fact that only 6 or so states had a "favorite" in the top 10 in sales

ETA: Missed CFA, but the point still stands. How can over half of these not even make the top 10 list?

The map is based on a 2 year old Twitter poll, so yeah, it's accurate.

At least 16 states had Chik-Fil-A as their favorite...
