I texted my nurse wife to see if Epic is working at her hospital. She said it's down, but that she is working with the doctors to 'get it up'.

It is standard of care to have paper orders and charting protocols in place for when the EMR system goes down. If they don’t, that is a big problem. Vaya con Dios amigo.

Divine intervention?

Your doctors have already assured you that there's 'no concern".

The biggest caveat: Biopsies are no bueno and here's why:

BIOPSIES Spread cancer through out the bloodstream... Do NOT Get a Biopsy!

Cancer: A Biopsy Is Almost A Guarantee Of Cancer Metastasis & Acceleration

Yeah. I can read notes from other epic hospital chains through the “care everywhere” function.

Can see lab results too.

I think the hospital has to opt in.

Not here, no issues on either clinic or hospital side for me. Not sure on the MyChart side.

Hadn’t this generally been debunked?

By whom?

You may want to investigate this issue further.

I told my wife they probably didn’t have this problem 30+ years ago but of course tons of people just died back then relative to now.

Technically, tons of people died back then because everyone died back then just the same as everyone dies now.

But to what I think is your point...no, hospitals were not archaic in 1995 and visiting one was not a death sentence...jeez.

They told us whatever is going on they literally cannot run any machines in the hospital. I sat in the room for about 2 hours and nobody got called back for an MRI or anything. They said the president and board of the entire hospital are in emergency meetings right now with the data center companies.

That seems more of a network outage more so than an EPIC outage. EPIC can be hosted by EPIC or can be ran on prem.

Good luck, sir.

It must be just you. The wife is a hotshot with EPIC and says they are all good.

Have you watched it and the logic? I could post more vids. Or is it only "White Papers" you respeck?

Do you just wave off the vid caveats as "nonsense"?

Do so at your own peril; I'm just the messenger and one-time guinea-pig..

So, it's still, "JUST TRUST THE SCIENCE, DAWG!!"?

New and updated medical info is being revealed everyday. Look into it. Or don't. Your call.
