[/img] Not sure if this was really put together by McDonalds and Visa, but either way, is the budget realistic? Obviously it depends on where a person lives, I doubt this is possible in California or New York City, etc.
But $20 for health insurance?

$600 is pretty cheap for an apartment these days. Unless you live in a bad part of town or a complex that's over 10 years old.

Where did they factor in the extra $500 in food stamps, the free healthcare, the college grants that many get for having a pulse, and the various other government entitlements?

El Cid is still around $600 i think

I can tell you it wasnt put together by anyone that has ever been poor much less making minimum wage.

Nearly half the monthly budget is disposable (minus food, I guess).
A single person could definitely live on that, but that budget is shite.

Yeah, but what you can't anticipate for are unexpected expenses and they are always there. Example, having to replace tire(s). $2,060 wouldn't bode well in BR especially with dependents. Even if you are on your own, that severely limits you. However, based on only making $2,060 a month, you are more than likely using some form of government assistance to get by.

Yea, not really living on minimum wage when showing 2 incomes
What a pointless graphic.
I see no water bill in there either.

not to worry. Human garbage i nthose cities force employers to have a "living wage"

For $150 a month, he/she must be going to the Credit Clown to get a '95 Neon.

If this person is making $2000 a month it means they're working 80 hours a week. It might be time for a late term abortion.

no its not realistic, but it at least has an 800 net that will get eaten into.
Edit: just noticed no food budget. frick this thing entirely.

I'm paying right around $200 a month for two vehicles with good full coverage and low deductibles. Not being in NOLA helps

I remember when I first got my job my insurance was like $27 a week. Course that was a quarter century ago. Thankfully we’re on my wife’s insurance now because now the same (more or less) insurance is just shy of $500 a month here where I work.

You sure that image isn't from 1998 instead of 2018?
