I thought they don’t have stuff to change the water blue when you pee in the pool. I only see that in movies.

I usually just pee a little and see if anything happens. Then I’ll go for real.

We stayed at a resort once that has a swim up bar. I was sipping my drink on our balcony with a nice view of the pool below. It was fun to point out the patrons that would get up from the bar and wade around the perimeter then go right back to their seats. Time to pee!

Fake. If the pool had something that reacted to urine then it would react to your sweat because it also has urea.

Doesn’t everyone pee in the pool? Seriously, do any of you ALWAYS get out and find a bathroom? I just don’t believe it.

In reality, no such chemical is used, but a new Mason-Dixon survey found that 52 percent of people believe there is a chemical that is added to pools to turn a conspicuous color in the presence of urine.

While the use of a urine-detecting chemical may be the biggest pool myth, other common aquatic urban legends

Does anybody still throw a Baby Ruth candy bar in the pool to get funny reactions? Oh what fun we had as kids.
