I bought a $14 blender at Walmart a few weeks ago and it gets the job done. 6-7 settings (chop, liquefy,....). No complaints.

I see other ones that run up past a c-note. How much more quality can a blender provide?

I hear good things about the vita-mix but I just can't pull the trigger on a 350$ blender.

But my Ninja is a very good blender

Depends what you're blending really. Some bs margaritas? No.

That jimmy buffet margaritaville machine -that's the only blender I would pay extra for.

For everyday stuff? No.

But my Vitamix is awesome. Granted it was a wedding gift, and I wouldn't pay $600 for it out of pocket, but I'm glad I have it.

My cheap blender was no match for a few frozen strawberry daiquiris. Burnt up the damn motor.

Once we got the top of the line from Williams Sonoma, smooth strawberry daiquiris ever since.

Just make sure it can puree. You never know when you'll need that feature.

Love mine. Never knew how good a blender could actually work til we bought one

Edit: in addition to make perfect daqs, frozen mixed drinks etc... it of course is great for smoothies. I've also quit using my food processor b/c I like the way the Ninja cuts things up so well.

Agree Ninja is the best bet for the money. It's a less expensive version of a Vitamix.

I'd love to have a Vitamix, but for half the price, the Ninja is solid.

I have no regrets buying my Vitamix. Better than my previous $60 blender. By a lot. A lot.

Which one do you have? I just googled them and realized how many there are. Makes sense I guess just never paid attention.

We have the one that's about $90-100. XL maybe? I can't imagine the profressional $2-300 one is that much better but interested to hear if anyone says they have one.
