Is there a profit share or just a straight land lease? Also, try and position yourself to get the sub-stations, thats there the real money is.
Straight land lease for 30 years.

Don't count your chickens until they hatch. We had 20 test units up on ours and the FAA changed their mind because the DoD told them to.
I’m not catching my chickens before they hatch because pipeline companies, drilling companies wanting to drill gas wells, and 2 different solar companies have all pitched us over the past 15 years or so and not one of them has lead to anything.

Why don’t they ask Bill Gates to give up some of the 70,000 acres of land he owns in Louisiana?

There are parts of NE Louisiana that have some of the highest avg wind speeds in Louisiana and that are close to West Texas avg wind speeds.
What is average speed in west Texas.

We’re in one of the yellow areas.

The one we have operating is in purple and the other than didn't get NTP was red.

the wind map is a great asset in determining project viability.... Compare it against what is reported for south texas, which has many, many windmills. If the north La wind force is a lot less than south texas, its likely to be less competitive.

not sure about northeast Louisiana, but there's enough wind every weekend on Big Lake to power the whole state for a year.

So does sunlight. All the surrounding landowners are for it so if the project is real and not just the consultant milking the feds for studies and proposals (which is what I think it is) I stand to make a buttload of money like legit OT mega balla money.

Doubt it but plenty of land for a few nuclear power plants.
Cleaner, more efficient, and creates great paying jobs.

Resource maps are great for large scale planning but once they get closer to NTP they'll bring in an independent engineer to put up test units and do a real report with actual measurements taken on site. That's usually the last phase to finalize the project finance and kick off construction.

Looks like that would mince up a lot of fish, etc

Plenty of land but i doubt it has enough electrical demand to justify the expense.

They are offering to pay staggering amounts of money in rent per windmill per year and each windmill only requires 2 acres.
Think about the staggering amount they stand to make...

There’s already a Winnfield but it’s more central than northeast.

Yeah but then I would have to sell my land instead of having just leading out 2 acres per windmill.

I do not give a damn about that. I got student loans to repay and expensive tastes.

OP…. What kind of question is that???
You should be asking is there enough wind and wind turbine subsidies and tax credits available to support wind turbines. Hell. yes. Even without the wind.

actual measurements close to ntp ?????
so they will look at the month of June for project financing nah
maybe they will look at the year 2022 with El Niño nah
maybe they will look at the 2000-2010 decade with sun spot cycling maybe
Wind roses have been around for at least 50 year for all areas with significant airports. The data exist for folks that want do diligence.
