I hold the door open for women.

And if they are the entitled type that doesn't say "Thank you" they get a snide "You're welcome".

It’s a 2 year old’s birthday party you knew about and didn’t attend. I’m sorry you didn’t get an engraved invite. Geez.

I still use a VCR & DVD player -- I have huge boxes of VHS cassettes. Don't really care about what sort of TV I have, how big it is or whether it's HD or not. As long as I can see the picture and hear the sound I'm good. Really not interested in new technology. I have no clue how any of these downloaded music apps/sites work so I still listen to CDs.

For a long time, I was a huge “I only read real books” curmudgeon, but I’m also an “I don’t check a bag, I don’t care if I’m going to be traveling for a month” curmudgeon, and those two didn’t play well with one another. So, now I have a Kindle Paperwhite to travel and to read in bed at night (it’s nice to just be able to tuck your elbows into your side and turn he “page” with a touch of your thumb).

For those who have only tried headache inducing tablets for reading, try an e-ink reader like the Paperwhite. Very different experience, and zero glare even in direct sunlight, so good for outside reading.

Business decorum.

It is remarkably common for even elite business to be done informally now, everyone has to be laid back and friends.

I am still VERY uncomfortable with texting clients, but it's becoming the norm since they don't like talking on the phone and are "too busy" to keep up with email. shite, I'd like to go back to written letters.

If I'm paying for a service, I expect it to be as good as possible.

Before hiring a professional, I do extensive research, to the point where their service is a convenience rather than a necessity.

I have never pulled out.

Ever.

Always do this. A little pat on the rear is usually welcomed.
