I've had some bad experiences with Smartpost but the last 2 times it went that route, I got a message from FedEx saying "we were in the area so we delivered it ourselves". Probably why it actually arrived.

I cringe when i see that. I cringe any time i see anything regarding the usps on Amazon. It pisses me off that i pay for prime and they pull that shite. I see people on here praising the usps and hating on ups, but I live out in the sticks. The post office subs out mail delivery. I get mail for all sorts of addresses at my house. I could only imagine how much of mine goes other places.

Since FedEx Smartpost is more likely to negativly effect me in the near future I'm still going to have to go with FedEx Smartpost over those other options.
Package accepted by fedEx on the 23rd. Estimated delivery date Sept 1st. Package isn't something time urgent but 9 days with 7 business days to ship a package ~950 miles passing through 4 states (including origin and destination state). F'kn redick.

Yes...seeing a package tracking number go through the Bell Gardens Postal Sorting Office outside of L.A. It is the black hole of the postal service.
