You mean like crushing your stones on the crossbar of your bicycle?

no, i mean like a finger flick that just grazes one...then you wait and get that feeling in your stomach because you know the pain is coming.

Years ago, I was half asleep on the couch when the phone rang. I jumped up to answer it and as I walked across the pitch black room I kicked the shite out of my metal PlayStation 2. I damn near cried. My toe swole up like a purple grape.

Shins have no padding at all. I believe you thought you were gonna die.

I started a thread about shin injuries a couple months ago after walking into our dishwasher door that my wife left open. I saw stars and immediately broke into a sweat the pain was so intense.
After a little research, it appears that the shin has a large amount of pain receptors with basically no muscle to protect them.

The shinbone (the tibia) is typically subcutaneous (directly beneath the skin) in everyone. Now the reason it hurts so much getting kicked, or sometimes even lightly grazed by something on the shinbone is because of the periostal layer. The periost is a layer that covers every bone in your body, and is filled with nociceptors (pain receptors), which are mostly myelinated nerve fibres. Being myelinated means nerves send signals upwards to 20-30m/s to the brain.
Now when you receive a kick to the shinbone, hundredthousand if not millions of nerve fibres send pain signals to your brain, which travels extremely fast.

Getting fluid drained out of your knee is even more fun.

Kidney stone dropped me to a knee
Raking my shin on the trailer hitch dropped me to both knees
Heart attack dropped me to my face in the ground
1/9/12 hurt more than all of that. Lol

Yep, I can check that box too. C1 and C2. Sucks. Made worse only by the dreaded MRI to follow.

literally the worst
second worst in my experience was when I was catching in batting practice, with no cup (didn't usually catch) and fast ball goes off the plate and hits my nuts/chode area. I ripped the mask off and vomited
sat in the dugout with ice on my nuts til pop got there and took me home. I'll never forget that pain
