New Orleans. North America's Toilet bowl...or the "melting pot". Yeah, melting pot sounds a lot better.

I hear you

My itch to move to Idaho or Montana etc grows by the month. There is no hope for places like BR and New Orleans.

Try out Tampa. Get into hockey. During the season, there's always a bunch of Russian folk visiting Florida. It's about as ridiculous as you could imagine when you hook into that crowd.

As soon as Reb Jr starts college, my primary residence will shift to 60 miles south of Tampa.

Biggest "culcha" problem down there is trying to get a table at Cracker Barrel at 4:30 in the afternoon.

NOLA public schools are still a disaster

A few charter and magnet schools allow internet message board posters act like they are improving

I wouldn't be living in a trailer park

White trash doesn't spill over into decent areas. Culcha does. That's the difference. That and the incredible levels of violence.

White trash are far less violent. Otherwise rural Kentucky and West Virginia would have huge murder problems. Boise is a similar sized metro to BR and had 1 murder in 2015.

Easy to avoid too. Quality of life in a place like Boise is far surperior to LA. Better schools, better infrastructure, functioning economy, very low crime, great outdoors activities that don't involve sitting down in a boat or blind, etc
