Yeah, when thugs were killing each other in the ghetto at ridiculous rates.

That's pretty much what it is now.

I feel much less safer than I did in the 90s because the crime is spread out seemingly everywhere now (even driving on the highway and Interstate).

Where do you live? So you feel unsafe on the highway because of extremely rare road rage shootings while in reality, dying in a crash is much more likely and always has been?

I live in New Orleans (yeah, I know...shithole city, etc.) and I can say that crime is spilling out all over and not just limited mostly to the hood like years ago. The majority still happens in the bad areas, but you're not as safe from crime in the good areas anymore. I imagine it's the same in New York City and San Francisco as those two cities had the biggest population loss last year.

I go about my life as usual, but I am much more aware of my surroundings now.. I've seen or read about a lot more crime taking place near where I live and I'm in one of the safest areas of the city.

Would be interesting to see a chart showing population loss with crime increase side by side.

Yes, crime is down bc Soro's backed DA's aren't prosecuting.

Can't have crime if ppl aren't charged.

Dallas' crime rate is falling but murders are up.

I’m not a lawyer. But isn’t murder a crime? Like a pretty big one?

Yeah in Atlanta we talk about "felt crime" because of interstate shootings, home invasions, etc. Atlanta is probably one of the worst cities for that because thugged out looking dudes in a Neiman Marcus isn't really out of place here due to the rap/sports culture.

Sure there are cities where crime is falling. However, they don’t have a “Reddit page”.

It is rising quite rapidly Pretty but there have been plenty worse times... Late 2000... Every year in like the 80s and early 90s... All had higher crime rates in all categories.

If you can find a city that isn’t run by democrats, you might have a chance.

Now what could be different in the population makeup of San Jose versus a city like Atlanta?
