Wow..the guy that found him...just happened to be driving on the street, just happened to roll his window down around that spot, we know the the smell situation he described, and he just happened to have a flashlight with him, then was able to look around and knew what was in the rug...what a guy, huh

However, it was not early Monday morning when BRPD says someone driving by Scenic Highway smelled a foul odor. When officers went to the vacant lot next to the old Rhodes Funeral Home, they found Millard’s body wrapped in a rug.

Yeah, this guy who found the body is suspicious. Too many coincidences took place. Was the $10K reward money paid to this guy?

Yes, I thought someone said Miller found him, my mistake.

A dead body smell can carry for blocks.

I actually found a dead person but it was 10 to 14 hours after he died and there was no smell.

He then proceeds to an ATM and at roughly 2:30am has an interaction with a female employee at Greyhound station. She recalls him being lost and disoriented and having lost his phone. There is another ATM transaction at 5:30am, but we do not know if that is Nathan or someone else or where that was located

Maybe I misunderstood Tim, but I thought he told Kiran that it wasn’t Nathan doing the 5:30am atm. She sort of speaks over him initially while asking if the transaction was unknown and at the same time he shakes his head no then says “No, it’s not Nathan”.

I would hate to be the pathologist doing the autopsy. From what I've been told you can't get that rotting flesh smell out of their clothes and they just throw them away. But they also get used to the smell after a while.

There are definitely some missing parts to this guy's story that we don't know.

Why was he in that area at 3 am?

Wonder why no one else smelled the body before then? We don't know when it was dumped, but it's probably safe to assume it had been there for some days.

I don't doubt he could smell it. I've smelled a skunk with all the windows up in the car many times.

I don't think it's curious that he had a flashlight in the car. I keep one in my car all the time.

I do think it's very curious that at 3 am, he would get out of his car at that location by himself to look for the source of the smell. In the daylight, it would be more believable, but even then, why did he want to find the source of the smell. He mentioned he thought maybe it was food thrown out. If so, why would he want to find that?

Right. That's what he said. Plus we don't know what he meant by a transaction. Did he mean another attempt to get cash out of the ATM or was the card used to buy something somewhere.

Is that the old guy with equi search?

Equi search guy didn't find him. Some anonymous dude who "happened to be driving through" with his windows open at 3:00am and decided to go investigate for himself. I know when I'm driving around sketchy parts of town I always go investigate smells at 3:00am. especially if the spot is overgrown and tucked back away from direct site of anything around.

I'll tell you this much, I was very close to that area Friday, even passed in front of the funeral home (like thousands of other people) and didn't smell anything

Could be the smell got too bad and they needed to move it

Have to think he was either really drunk and walked the wrong way, was trying to locate drugs, or met some “chick” online and was going to meet her, although I’d think if that was the case he would’ve got her to the hotel, but maybe got lured to another location. Drinking doesn’t typically lead to the best decisions

To wrap a dead body up in carpet and leave in a vacant lot you would think perp did more criminal acts to this guy than just how body was disposed but in north Baton Rouge who knows. Too many just don’t care about anything.

Not really.
If you live in a crack house. And someone OD’s in your 5x5 cubical you likely just want them gone asap.

Right!

| Anonymous man who found Nathan’s body (Kiran vid)

“Yea, I was, uhm, pretty much driving down the street. And I kinda rolled down my windows as I drove past the, uh, the abandon building. As I turned in to put it in reverse to back out I smelled something like foul. It just, it smelled like something bad”

I listened to that and it sounded really fishy.
