Is there a word in the English language more widely mispronounced than flaccid?

It's phonetical spelling is flak-sid but I don't believe I've ever heard anyone include the "k" sound

I’ve never heard anyone pronounce that word with the “k” sound.

Every dictionary I just checked gave the normal pronunciation (no 'k') as primary.

MW = 'fla-s?d
Dictionary.com = flas-id
Cambridge only gives /'flæs.?d/
and collins gives flæs?d first.

Sorry, you earned a downvote....

Maybe they’re saying flax seed and you’re just confused.

One I hear often in the Midwest is “acrosst” or “acrossed”. Neither are words, as across is not a verb and therefore doesn’t have a past tense conjugation. “We went acrossed town yesterday.” or “CVS sits acrossed Walmart on Main St.”

It grinds my gears and hardly anyone even realizes it’s wrong.

Your dick is flaccid when someone sucks on it?

You should see a doctor about that.

This thread would make anyone flaccid, or flak-sid for that matter.
