By every metric it is pretty much the worst.
I love it but almost no one would agree.
I feel like we deal with less SJW bullshite down here, which is enough for me to stay.

slow pace, quaint congeniality and reluctance to leave our ingrained moral and social fabric make the Southeast the easiest quadrant of the country to live a happy life in?
Southwest is the best and it isn't even close. Plus nothing in the US is slower paced than New Mexico if you like lazy living. Arizona is > LA, MS, AL and FL panhandle combined. Ask 480nurse about the talent level in old town and tempe. Now matter where you are in the SW you feel like you're on the set of a Russ Meyer film. Pure awesome sauce my friend.

Yeah, that's what we need. A bunch of hopheads driving impaired to go along with all the alcoholics doing the same.
Happy New Year

Happy New Year to you too. Hey, I like to drink as much as anybody, but I've learned to confine myself to home or have a designated driver.
But on the weekends, particularly at night, it isn't difficult to see who's been hitting the bottle. I see a lot of it in Acadiana. The police are missing some good targets.

But you wouldn't be. Places outside of LA have seasons. It doesn't look like that year round.

Major sports teams, endless miles of trails and parks. There really is no comparison.
That's the thing. My favorite team happens to be in LA. And you guys conveniently leave out that it's fricking cold in some of these places. If I'm moving out of the south, it's to San Diego, not a place where it snows.
I also tend to think some people aren't being truly honest. Southern states tend to have higher percentage of minorty population.

Best decision of my life to move out of Louisiana...Alaska is amazing.
Yep. Life is pretty good here. It's not for everyone, but no place is.

This is Oregon's country. Wouldn't mind waking up each day to this, in peace and quiet..with no worries of Johnny law trying to lock you up for smoking.
It's a shame Orgeon, Washington, and California are so blue, politically.
I have the ability to ignore stupidity no matter how they vote.
I love where I live. The quality of life is tough to beat.

Yep, it changes. Which means different kinds of beauty and different outdoor sports year round.

The good thing about Louisiana is the standard of life if you have a slightly above average income and live in the right part.
I live in Texas now though, and it's better in every way except for the people.

Give me the gulf coast between Tampa and Gulf shores over anywhere else in the country, but that's just me

Yeah, I don't have to worry about living in the right part of town or having my head on a swivel.

Not the best, not the worst.

Mainly local and state laws. Gun restrictions and the like. Extra taxes. Oregon has a law that you have to have your gas pumped by an employee so that more people get hired for shorty iseless jobs.
Your ignorance is showing.
From a taxes perspective. No sales tax in Oregon and no income tax in Washington.
