Yep. I swore of Walgreens and the other shitty places long ago. I go to a family owned place where they have 4 pharmacist on duty and several friendly cashiers ready to check you out.

I don't know of but a few in BR and they aren't in my area. BR seems to have a pharmacy on every corner and yet the wait is unbearable. It's not waiting on my refill. I can drop that off ahead of time and pick it up a day later, it's waiting in line either in drive through or in store that sucks. Maybe I'm too close to north BR.

I renewed my license in person a month ago at a DMV express. I was in and out in less that 10 minutes.

Stay away from the chains. Service is way better at small mom and pops

There are satellite places that you can do almost anything a DMV can do. Renew license in about 8 minutes. Worth a slight upcharge for sure.

This. In and out 10-15 minutes no matter how busy they are.

Same in Harahan, less than a two minute drive from work. Title transfers, license plates and DL renewal. About the only thing they can't do is the initial DL to a kid.

Yea. Mom and pop pharmacies in br area blow away the chains. 5-10 min wait on anything. Drys in Zachary. Boltons by Ivars. Both will fill while you wait.

Not my pharmacist. My DR. Office is 5 minutes away from his pharmacy. When I get to the pharmacy I may have to wait a minute or two and its ready. Calls me by my first name and is a pleasure to deal with.

Really? You sure about that? Then why is the pharmacy all the way in the back in every damn Walgreen's I've ever seen? Why don't Walmart have drive through windows? At least not the ones around here. When my wife worked at Walgreen's, they were told they were filling too fast. Then told not to fill prescriptions until the patient got there.

Of course they do, then they put all the higher profit items near the pharmacy to make it easier for you to buy.
