Is the old saying that your body eliminates 1 alcoholic beverage per hour really accurate?

Even when I try to abide by this I still feel like it’s accumulating over time.

I think so. However , I think people mis-understand what "one drink" is. A triple shot happy hour special is not "one drink".

I don't think it's quite as simple as saying "1 alcoholic beverage per hour" as not all people and beverages are the same.

Two “drinks” ( 12oz beer, shot, or glass of wine) in one hour would typically put someone at .08g% abc or close to it +/-

That's not accurate either, unless you are talking 1 ounce of pure alcohol/hour. My burbon is 40% alcohol, where some others are much more and some are much less

If you weigh at least 165 and drink you last on at hour 11 then you’ll be legally sober at hour 12. Probably not at at hour 11.5

Maybe for a 120 lb chick. I can have about 5 and be below .08
