Ravelry, a community site that allows users to share ideas about knitting and textile projects, said in a blog post Sunday that it will remove users if they express support for Trump on its forum, profile pages or any other content.

Isn’t this kinda what totalitarian governments do? These people don’t even care how hypocritical they are any more.

I just think it's funny there is a story about this, as if they are some huge community with influence.

They all seem like a bunch of Bernie types so I doubt anyone who is part of that community is a trump supporter anyway..

Is this knitting site something more than just knitting? Who gives a frick what a bunch of knitters support?

This is a sports site, and there is a ton of politics on here. So much so they created a board for it. I don't see why it would be different with knitting. Anytime you have a board dedicated to a hobby, you'll attract people from various social and political backgrounds. They will inevitably interact and disagree and get in arguments.

It’s a story because the Progressive Left has become so intolerant and illiberal that it no longer feels it has to contend intellectually with any other perspective. Same thing we see in every important Progressive Institutional bubble in our country from network news, to newspapers, to social media platforms to Hollywood etc.
