How do satellites work in the flat earth model?

Can you define precisely why "Liberator is a loon"

I can. Liberator is a loon because he believes in chemtrails and believes the earth is flat. That was easy.

I tried to bring that up last page. We're close to having civilian space travel. Will every passenger be in on it?

I don't agree with Liberator, but some of his arguments are factually correct.
The lunatics that run our world go through great lengths to fool the public in a variety of topics, so no different here...many of the events, especially in the last 100 years or so should be subject to great scrutiny, and space is no different.

He's referring to going into deep space...beyond a few thousand miles. Space tourists won't be doing that, so no one has to be in on anything. Mathematically, you'd have to be 120 miles up to see the curve, I'm not even sure space tourism will go that high, so your point is moot whether it's a logical counter to FE.

The best observable counter FOR NORMAL PEOPLE to the flat earth is the stars in the night sky. When determining what the shape of the earth is, you have to take illogical leaps to assume the night "sky dome" isn't spherical. Which is one step from the earth being spherical and spinning logically. You can build models to explain just about everything else on a flat plain except that.

You can be near the equator and see both poles. The only "flat earth" explanations for this are that it's a localized projection or mass illusion. Which is impossibly grand in scale, improbable to pull off, and for no reason.

The sun/moon being visibly the same size and cresting both horizons is difficult to model in FE as well.

Do you intend to wipe him off of a flat or sphere earth? Asking for a friend??

SpaceX is testing 360 miles up.

1. "Proof" 1/3 she says ships disappear over the horizon and the mast gets lower and lower. But that's not true, the mast stays at the same height while the bottom becomes distorted
Are you telling us that if we observe a boat sailing away from us starting at 100 yards out the masts will remain the same height as it reaches 10 miles out and 17 miles out?

OMG I think I might know this person.

Was it 12-12-12- or 12-21-12 when the world was supposed to get destroyed? I can't remember. I bet this guy a grand that it wouldn't happen. Still hasn't paid me...but it was a bet I couldn't lose

I've gone through too many pages of this thread and I'm really disappointed with the quality of the globehead cringe memes. Hit me up - I've got the good stuff.

obviously it becomes smaller as it moves away. The mast stays at the same proportional height above the water. A line of refraction forms as it passes the horizon and slowly moves upward distorting the ship. the last thing you will see is not the mast peeking over the curve of the water, but the mast seemingly floating in air above the water at the same proportion until it too disappears from view

The perfectly straight flat line that remains generally at eye level as you elevate no matter how high. So obviously not a curve. And you can see ships past it with optics, their proportional height doesn't change, they just get distorted and seemingly float on air

So tell me what you think the horizon is?

Coul you see London from the top of the Freedom tower in NYC with a strong enough telescope?

Or Iceland?

Or the rocky mountains?

No. Does the vastness of earth provide a de facto flat plane? Also no. The geometry doesn't work. It should be noticeably curved within our optics and field of view. The horizon should be curved. It should definitely curve more and go down as you rise. Instead it remains at the same height and perfectly flat.

No, atmospheric distortion, exactly what happens to the ships
