No they rotate over a year.
So, you think the Big Dipper doesn’t rotate at all around Polaris during a single night?

Liberator is really that crazy.
Gaggle is fricking with everyone.
That’s my theory right now.

You are doing the work of 100 Centurions in the thread.

Can you?
Sure. Venus is closer to the Sun than the Earth, thus it completes it's orbit around the Sun much faster than the Earth every 365 days. This is why we're able to visually observe Venus in different phases depending on the time of the year.
I can visually, with my own two eyes, confirm this. You could as well. If you and I can observe this with our own eyes, who is pulling the wool over them for us?

the stars are projectors yeah, projecting our lives down to the planet earth

Good thing you have all of this information. I can just read the thread while watching Netflix instead of getting out and doing my own research. Hah

quote:We can't see the poles from our spot on earth nor can we see the stars all day. How can they appear that way? They don't, someone told you that. You fricking moron. This sweet summer child nonsense is a really faggy, condescending smug way to assert your superiority, but you're in no position to do so. You just have an agenda to fool people on the internet. I'm older, smarter, and more experienced than you in real life.
Oh, you sweet summer child. You have been pontificating about astronomy and you don't even know the stars appear from earth to rotate around the celestial poles every sidereal day (~23 hours 56 minutes). That roughly 4 minute difference is what causes the relative position of the constellations to shift over time.
quote:I've looked at the stars more than you and talked about it in this thread. I used to talk like you, then I looked at them more (and was more critical and had a higher IQ)
Jesus, go outside at night and look up, if you had done this once in a while you would know how stupid you sound.
You parroted something that literally can not be seen from your backyard and then tried to pretend we can see it ourselves and just haven't experienced it like you. What the frick are you talking about?

Yup. THAT blows minds.
There are too many YT videos of people weaponizing their Nikon P900 just to see whether they could "pull back" ships and objects that were "well beyond the horizon."
DONE EASILY.
Can you refute ANY of these points?
Listen man, I am a Christian and a believer in God, but you're spouting some crazy theories here that are doing nothing but making a joke out of Christianity. It's not a good look and this isn't drawing anyone to your cause - or OUR cause for that matter.
Watch the linked video and refute any of his points legitimately please. Otherwise you're doing nothing but turning people away.

Yeah absolutely elite level troll. Got to damn near 30 pages on it. Admire the dedication

I did explain it. It is closer in proximity to the Sun, completing it's orbit quicker than the Earth every 365 days. My explanation is that the Sun is hiding it, thus giving it visible phases that you and I observe.
That's my explanation. What is your perspective on the phases of Venus?

Gaggle’s higher IQ schtick while making demonstrably false statements makes it very clear he’s trolling. I love it, though.

How does the sun hide it? It's not actually behind the sun during these phases. So it's the shadow of part of itself from our angle of perspective, is that what you're saying?

Yeah I’m out. If he’s a troll that’s cool but it’s played out now. If he’s not, then it’s astonishingly absurd. Y’all have fun.

Yes. We can observe that Venus and it's phases are due to the time of the year and it's position relative to the Sun. Are all of the planets visible in the night sky, on any given night of the year?

You are talking to someone actually mentally ill. Don’t bother.

How? It can't just say it's due to it. Explain how the sunlight creates phases to those particular angles at the time.
If we put a spotlight far away in a giant field and sent a baseball on a huge orbit round it, you would see varying perfect phases of half, crescent and gibbous baseball, while still being able to observe the lit side of the baseball in detail without light blinding you. Crazy crazy.
