But you are in SC so I get it.

I need to be close to natural features. I like Dallas a lot, but it is so flat and featureless.

In Atlanta, I can be up in the mountains in no time.

Ya i went to a few of the random shopping mall with some bar / restaurant places but isn't really my speed.

All the cities in DFW run together so you can't really judge one by itself. A 20 minute drive could take you through 5 or so cities.

I agree that coonasses are not southern. They are coonasses. Just like Texas is not southern, it is Texan

Coonasses are just a different flavor of redneck. The real difference in my mind is racial make up of the cities.

Austin doesn’t look anything like any city in the south. Jackson, Beaumont, monroe, mobile, Baton Rouge, Nola, ect all have a pretty similar racial make up.

That’s why i say the south stops in Baytown because the further you get west of Houston the less it resembles anything in south.

I mean those areas are nice places to live and raise a family, but if I had a ton of money I’m living in the old money centrally located area

Plus, Atlanta itself is basically a forest with buildings sticking out.

Highland Park is full of Democrats? Everybody I know that went there is borderline racist. That’s pretty shocking if true.

Dallas County has fallen. Highland Park is probably the only red area in the whole county now.

Southerners (not coonasses) came from Britain and fought in British wars. The original settlers were puritans in the North and cavaliers in the South. If you are Southern you will probably find this in your own family tree if you make an ancestry account.

yea I probably would too in most cities.

Though if I had stupid amounts of money I'd buy myself a house 5-10 min walk from the beach in La Jolla. Celebrate Christmas in shorts and flip flops, play softball/golf year round, surf, eat lots of fish tacos

ugh

My point was your vague arse description doesn’t make New Orleans the south unless it also makes San Antonio the south. The French are no more southern than the Spanish are.
