If I wanted a plain arse neighborhood with 8 floor plan options where the only place to get drunk was a shopping center (sambucca GOAT) I would move to west houston

I'll nominate Brentwood/Franklin/Belle Meade south of Nashville.

Frisco and Plano and whatever else cultureless suburb are for people who can’t afford to actually live in a nice part of Dallas

Seem you can't read very well.

Shops at legacy have tons of bars and restaurants with live bands on the weekends. It's a cool outside area to walk around.

Downtown plano has some cool places too. Rooftop bar that is fun.

I agree that coonasses are not southern. They are coonasses. Just like Texas is not southern, it is Texan

Yeah there’s still zero crime in Park Cities and Preston Hollow. Give me those places over master planned subdivision sprawling suburbia all day.

That's mainly north of Plano in North Frisco and McKinney.

people who complain about places being boring or devoid of culture are miserable people who obviously have trouble making friends.

Give me some solid restaurants/bars and enough of a population of youngish people to meet people with similar interests and I'm happy

I'd rather live in Atlanta than Dallas.

Still gotta drive through it. I live right next to SMU and just north of me is basically Mexico.

Fair enough. Gleneagles area of Plano is sick, but a lot of it is planned so I guess it doesn't count.

You mean they didn’t want to get paid 30k when they could get 50k for the same job in a much safer city? Yeah, I wouldn’t move to Louisiana either.

Ya i went to a few of the random shopping mall with some bar / restaurant places but isn't really my speed.

ETA: the coursework and hotel said the address was in Plano, so i don't know specifically what area it was in that sucked. Fort Worth and part of downtown Dallas were cool.
