Houston Chronicle article
The AG is under investigation for stealing an old ladies inheritance, every square inch of land in the state was stolen, and now $300mm contracts are handed to bogus companies..

Louisiana is the most corrupt state. Texas is probably top 3 most upstanding.

Is this a joke? There's corruption in every state. You should be banned for even considering that Texas is more corrupt than Louisiana.
Clearly more corrupt states:
New Jersey
Illinois
Michigan
Louisiana
New York

I was in Illinois for work a few years back and a news story said there was not one, but two ex-governors in the state pen. And no one really cared much, business as usual.
You have to put Chicago/Illinois near the top of any corrupt state list.

Which state isn't?
With money involved, there's plenty of corruption.

I didn't even mention the stealing from the children's education fund, where a secretive board is losing millions of dollars in land deals.

If this is supposed to get folks to come back to Louisiana, you’re doing it wrong.

It's why all the court houses are stone, they burned down all the wooden ones with the original deeds.

Mississippi has the most convictions of public officials per capita.
And we're far less crooked than Congress.
