Which is just sugar

Yes but honey taste better, has just a tiny bit more nutritional/health value and a very slightly lower glycemic value. Plus it makes the bees feel more appreciated for their hard work.

Yes. Aspartame does not appear to have a causal link to cancer.

Try monk fruit sweetener. All natural, no calories, sweeter than sugar, and has anti-oxidant properties.

Try the light agave.
That's what I use these days. It doesn't have any weird taste.
1 drop in a cup coffee is all you need.

Drink better coffee.

You’re right. Sugar substitutes are worse than just using moderate amounts of real sugar.

Eat a low carb diet (not, no carb), consisting of real unprocessed food.
No seed oils. No HFCS.

Get some exercise throughout the day, and you’ll be fine.

Not sure about the anti-oxidant qualities, but "all natural, no calories, sweeter than sugar" all describe stevia.

Stevia is a good bit less expensive than monkfruit.

Well if that’s the only criteria, so are seed oils

Seed oils are not inherently bad, it is how they are processed that typically makes them bad or how people are using them that makes them bad.

OP, the sweeteners known to be the most toxic are splenda, nutrisweet and aspartame. Definitely avoid those.

Stevia is one of the safe natural alternatives along with xylitol, monkfruit, etc.

I give my hombres shite about this all the time.

That was his point.

Sugar is also not inherently bad. Especially if your only consumption is in coffee once a day.

Eat your bodyweight in grams of protein
Keep caloric intake below your energy expenditure for the day
Exercise
Don't drink, smoke, do drugs
Get 8 hours of sleep

That's all you have to do to lose weight. If you don't want to lose weight, fine. That's all you have to do to not feel like shite.

Stevia tastes awful to me. Try Bochasweet. Expensive but good.

Sugar isn't healthy, and there's no such thing as a healthy substitute.
If you can't break your addiction to sweet coffee, then you might as well keep putting sugar in it.
I didn't think I could stop drinking coffee with sugar, but I managed to do it.

Exactly. Too many people don't realize how much sugar they consume, because they don't pay attention to what's in the food they eat.

If you prepare your own food, and only eat natural, whole food, then it's easy to reduce sugar in everything except for the rare treat.

Most people's taste buds have also been abused by eating all of these processed foods and artificial sweeteners. If they'd just chill out and eat none of that BS, their taste buds would come around and they'd enjoy more of the subtle sweetness in regular amounts of sugar found in many things.

Black coffee is pretty enjoyable once you get used to it. If anything, I can actually taste the coffee. Same with greek yogurt. First time I had some without any added sugar, it tasted way too tangy. Now I enjoy it, because I've retrained my taste buds.

Anyway, that's my Ted talk. The biggest problem most people have is they've trained their palates to expect heavily sweetened, heavily processed foods.
