Yes, Stevia can be a healthy option as a sugar substitute, particularly for those managing calorie intake or blood sugar levels. It’s an acquired taste and isn’t for everyone as you can tell from the comments.

If you’re a super-taster, you may not like it. I’m not and I’ve come to love it.

Just put it on my strawberries. I have to eat strawberries instead of ice cream. I eat a lot of strawberries with stevia.

I hope so because I use it instead of sugar most of the time.

Same here. I use the organic Stevia. That stuff is expensive.

Any recommendations?

As long as you are not exceeded the FDA suggested safe levels many times over everyday any sweetener will be fine. If you like sucralose, use sucralose, if you like stevia, use stevia, if you like aspartame you are a psychopath and it doesn't matter what you eat.

I use pure stevia because I don't produce enough insulin, but if I did produce a normal amount of insulin I would just use sugar, it is far better tasting. Out and about and for coffee sucralose is more available, but it's almost too sweet to me. Fine in coffee, makes Tea taste like syrup.

Just because something is toxic at an extremely high dose, doesn't make it bad for you. Water is toxic, Oxygen is toxic... its the dose but most idiots don't understand that.

Nothing wrong with artificial sweeteners

Try buying better coffee, though. Used to think I’d hate it black until I got the good stuff

About the only thing I use sugar for these days is coffee.
Try honey instead of sugar.

Gives coffee a great taste.

Sun Rider stevia is a great alternative. It does have a taste to it and have not had it in coffee as I drink it black, but maybe try it out.

Fun fact: stevia can also be used in multiple other holistic instances. Antiseptic, digestive, antifungal, etc.

Breaking Bad was the first time I became aware of Stevia.

"It's that Lydia woman. You're sweet on her, you little bastard. Hey, Kenny, you believe this? Come on, you can do better! I mean, that one's so uptight she's probably got a wood-chipper for a coochie.” - Jack Welker

"If that’s truly the only sugar you’re really consuming it doesn’t really matter either way."

This is the correct answer.

Folic acid is a chemical sprayed on all your grains. It’s made in a lab. When grain companies started stripping grains of all their nutrients they started spraying this poison. You need methylated folate in your diet and not folic acid.

It is. It is made from a plant.
Sugar is also made from a plant. Corn syrup is made from a plant.
