The irony is there are multiple posters in the forum who shite all over the nutcases in the PT when they're just as much of a nutcase, but a nutcase in the opposite political direction. And they're oblivious to it.

I'd like to avoid all politics whether it's something I agree with or not when on this board. I would be happy if the board filtered any posts with the words Trump, Obama, Clinton, Biden, Democrat, Republican, liberal, etc. Of course the posters would try to work their way around it. There was a point in time when the admins actually kept politics on the poli board. I miss those days.

Oh I agree with you, and my comment wasn't directed at those like you. I'm just pointing out the hypocrisy of a certain subset of this forum who cries about political topics when the only issue they have is they disagree with the political lean of the topic.

To be fair, any user can avoid a thread if it is too political for them. It's not difficult
However, I have seen on several occasions someone post the same thread on the OT and PT simultaneously. That annoys the shite out of me

True. But there are days when I open the OT and it literally seems like half of the threads on the front page need to be moved to the poli board. I usually just go to another site at that point. I'm not ripping on the admins or anything. This place has grown so much I'm sure they have trouble policing it all.

I like OT political threads because there is at least some diversity of viewpoint.
On Poli you can be like "Really though slavery was pretty bad" and you'll get 10 downvotes

Just a reflection on today's world. Democrats have politicized everything on earth and have made sure this shite is shoved down our throats in our daily lives. We are simply returning the favor with double 1 finger salutes.

I think most would agree with you on that point. The Poliboard is for the most part a ultra conservative/Trump circle jerk, with some moderates and a handful of liberals. The discourse in political/current events topics on the OT is often more thoughtful and interesting.
