Face it. Any city of any size with malt liquor will have a significant crime problem.

Pensacola beach is nice but I wouldn’t wanna spend to much time in Downton Pensacola.

We have family in Mobile. I can’t believe how bad crimes gotten.
Messing with you Doc.
There are a couple of nice areolas of P’cola.
But mostly tract neighborhoods and worse.

I have family who live there. Yes, it has a sizable section that is lower middle/working class.
But Penscola is beautiful if you earn a good income.
My family members live in a great neighborhood around Bellview. They have a US National Parks pass and go to Johnson Beach National Seashore. It's a beautiful, non-trashy and far less crowded option for family beach days.

Huh?
The old town area has a lot going for it right now. Lots of bars, restaurants, and shops. Plenty going on and seems pretty clean to me compared to many other downtowns.

By us i assume you mean Baton Rouge?
I mean last year Baton Rouge was ahead of New Orleans in murder per capita, are you saying Pensecola matches Baton Rouge there?

East Hill, the beach, and downtown are all pretty nice. Outside of that I don’t have much use for Pensacola.
My old college roomate lives in Pensacola and we go over and visit every so often. He's lived in East Hill, Gulf Breeze, and now Pensacola Beach. Every time we go and visit I think to myself how it gets better every time we go over there. I'd move there in a heartbeat.

Downtown Pensacola is actually quite nice. Great restaurants/shops and you don't feel like you're going to get shot or robbed like in BR or NOLA. I've lived here since I graduated from LSU. Bought my first house down on the west side close to Perdido Key and recently moved back over to the east side. Like all places, there are areas you want to avoid but overall it's a great town.

I’ve worked in Pensacola since February. This is my last week here. Yes there is a wrong side of the tracks, like every other city of it’s size in the Deep South.
But the nice parts of town outshine that. I could see myself living here. East Hill is really cool. The political situation is great. No income taxes.
Ya gotta have money, though. The nice real estate is higher than giraffe pussy.

I've been to Pensacola a few times. I'm over in Navarre right now staying the week on the pier. Still seems like a nice place to be? But keep in mind, I grew up in Central and then moved to arkansas so idk if my opinion on this is worth a shite

It was a shite hole in the early 2000's when I lived there. I can't imagine what it's like now.
Posted on 6/14/22 at 9:34 am to TutHillTiger
The west side of Pensacola is a hell hole.
Posted on 6/14/22 at 9:36 am to TutHillTiger
I don't like living in Baton Rouge, but I probably wouldn't like living in Pensacola either. So there's that.
Posted on 6/14/22 at 10:06 am to TutHillTiger
Sorry to say that it is now.

The city is a shithole but the beach area is top notch.

Any more info? Land price is still reasonable around there.
