I went with the.37mm for a little while. It’s awesome feeling, but it’s so thin, I’d occasionally cut through the paper.

I have no idea how people write with anything thicker than .5mm.

I use a G2 or TUL

I've never owned a nice pen because I generally can't hold on to a pen for more than 24 hours before losing it. Lot's of people get nice pens as gifts and use them so I don't think it's necessarily pretentious. Mont Blanc pens just kind of seem so 1980s to me.

It isn't pretentious when you really are a cut above everyone else.

I do like a good pen. Smooth and doesn’t smear. If you can snag one from the post office, those are nice.

I don’t like a pen that needs to be capped. It needs to be the clicky kind. Same for sharpies. Non-clicky sharpies and pens can go DIAF.

If you take the innards out, it is also great for shooting spitballs.

Same thing as a Rolex.

Most people think they are pretentious and try hard, but people who value quality things will recognize it immediately and respect you more.

You can actually fit a Mont Blanc refill in a G2 pen. It just takes a slight modification. But I actually prefer the G2.

It’s more of a sign of you being a big fool for purchasing an expensive pen you may use a few times a day. It’s not like you’re signing executive orders or anything.

It would be pretentious to break out an ink bottle and fountain pen and write in calligraphy.

That would be some hipster shite there

I won two Mont Blancs as prizes for writing. Still in the boxes. I know somebody will try to steal those bitches if I use them. Sad.

Exactly. If you really like how a Mont Blanc writes you can buy a refill for $10 and put it in the G2 Pro.

The weight of the pen won't be the same. I guess we could fill the barrel with splitshot...

In all seriousness, this is the biggest drawback on owning a high end pen.

Mont Blanc

The company I worked for gave us a sterling silver Mont Blanc pen as a 5 year employee gift. Even though I used it everyday and liked it, I probably wouldn’t fork over the cash for one.

I have a nice pen. I think everyone should have one. They're worth the money. What do you use? Bic? Like a peasant?

It is incredibly pretentious. That's a solid move.
