Because even then you are close to bad areas and have to deal with it.

This isn't true though. I don't live close to bad areas at all, and I don't have to deal with crime in my neighborhood. I also don't have to deal with traffic coming into Lafayette if I want to use any of the city's amenities, or when going to/from work.

Also my neighborhood "stats" compare pretty favorably to the stats listed above for Mandeville, yet I'm in a relatively large city (compared to Mandeville, or the rest of the state really).

Mandeville is full of Commies. Madisonville is better.

I guess, if you like overpriced cookie cutter homes, horrible traffic, Karen’s/Chad’s that can’t afford Lafayette proper homes, etc

Why don’t you just ruin it by telling these people about it.

Maybe my vision is skewed cause I'm only visiting for baseball tournaments. But nice arse housing with decent size lots, nice stores, couple decent places to eat, nice sports facilities, close to south Laffy and river ranch which is nice as frick, close to stm, close to hospitals etc.

Besides traffic what do yall not like about it? I personally don't give a frick about culture and all the other BS terms thrown around.

I like nice shite. I like Mandeville for that reason. Traffic has always been bad there when I visited, way wrote than Youngsville.

I have same benefits in LC, but it cost more to live in those places compared to moving further out.

What about drainage? My visits to NuNus always left me with the impression that Youngsville would flood like a mofo.

In my experience? Yes.
Stay in the eastern part, though. That Hwy 22 traffic can be shitty.

Dude STFU about this. We are trying to keep it a secret.

Eta: I'm from Lafayette. The food is worse in Mandeville but everything else is better if you're a professional white republican (aka baw). The schools alone tip the scale, but that's just the start.

This is my point, why not just live in the "nice as frick" neighborhoods in Lafayette, rather than use that as a "perk" of living in Youngsville. Unless, of course, you can't afford to live in the nice neighborhoods in Lafayette (which actually aren't all super expensive). I live in an older neighborhood with decent sized lots, mature trees, nice families, etc... and I'm in the heart of Lafayette and can get around the city easily.

I just don't see the big perks of living in Youngsville, homes aren't that much cheaper than Lafayette, schools aren't that much better than Lafayette public schools, if you want to go to a nice restaurant you have to drive into Lafayette, etc...
